Our Brood!

Here are the rabbits that have touched our lives, even if only momentarily they will always remain in our hearts.

Dawn

Picture
Dawn is a english spot x rex, she's three years old and the biggest softy in the world. She scared all my friends due to her hormonal lunges and grunts, but after her spay she's soon calmed down and now people no longer hide from her.
She's had a few partners in the past, two of which are now past away and the other two she broke apart with. We're now currently bonding her with Nibbles, who's recently been neutered.

Nibbles

Picture
Nibbles is a chocolate english spot, about a year old and came to us from a friend. He was too large and couldn't bond with their female, we saw him as an ideal partner for Dawn, he's just recently been neutered and hopefully they can spend the rest of their lives together.

Flopsi

Picture
Flopsi is mine and my partners love child, she was bought for me whilst Dawn was away. She's dwarf lop and is now just over a year old. She has also raised two litters, one of which against my will. She loves being a mom, and nurtures her daughters as if the whole world counts on them being groomed in time.
She's very affectionate bunny, and after her neuter will be with Benji, the father of the children and her daughters.

Betty & Shadow

Picture
Betty is the agouti on the top. Shadow is the black self on the bottom. Both girls are from the same litter from Flopsi and Benji, which makes them Dwarf lop x Lionheads. They're both little nutcases and both myself and my partner just could not bear to part with them. They live with their mother and take very good care of each other. They're now roughly 6 months old.

Benjiman Bunny (Benji)

Picture
Benji is a lionhead and is just about a year now, he waited six months alone for someone to buy him. At the time we had his sister from the same litter so we decided to get him for Flopsi. It was love at first sight, and they have their beautiful daughters as planned. They have a nuclear family in the shed.

Spencer

Picture
We adopted Spencer from the friend who bred Flopsi & Lilly, so he is Flopsi & Lilly's dad, and Betty and Shadow's grandad. He's a tri-colour dwarf lop and is just over three years old now, and had a stroke last year so has weak back legs. He's not one for cuddles from anyone bar his teddy bear. He's got a quirky little personality, that makes him so loveable.

Storm & Babies

Picture
Storm is a dwarf lop cross and is just under a year. She was bought for me by my partner as a surprise Christmas gift, as he knew I had fallen in love with her. She is the softest, cuddliest and sweetest rabbit I've ever met. She's a great mom, though she was not supposed to be. From left to right, Cloud & Lex (boys), Yuna, Storm, Hazel, Midge & Bumble Bee. The boys are already in their forever home, Yuna & Hazel have yet to find theirs and Midge & Bee are staying with their mommy.

Lilly

Picture
Lilly is a harlequin dwarf lop, I fell in love with her, and her colouring. She is Flopsi's little sister. I want to take her to some shows (pet category) to learn more about the harlequin colouring. She's only a few month old, and is a sweet little cuddle bun, but with a cheeky side too.

Waiting at the Bridge

Dilly

Picture
Dilly was one of the most wonderful rabbits you could have asked for. Soft, gentle and great with the kids. He was a family pet and when I moved I could not take him along, he was then rehomed with another family where he died a year later at the age of seven due to an infection no one had spotted in time. He will be forever in my heart, the inspiration of this all!

JackDaniels (JD)

Picture
JD was the only rabbit my partner has ever 'fallen in love with' he saw him at the pet shop with all the other rabbits and actually begged me for him. After all the times he had said yes I couldn't just say no, especially to both their faces. He came home later that evening and by accident got in with Flopsi who was just getting over her phantom pregnancy. Flopsi took to him instantly, by shooing him in a corner and grooming him. After that they were the cutest pair around. Like mother and son. He was a polish rabbit which are notorious for bad hearts, yet his heart was nothing but full of love and energy. Sadly after only a month and a half of getting to know this cheeky chap he died in the early hours of the morning due to heart failure. Going in the kitchen will never be the same again without having JD follow closely at our heels in case we dropped a tasty bit of food. It was him who has inspired the breeding as to cure Flopsi's depression (she wouldn't eat etc.) we brought Benji home and since then she has been happy, but some times she'll sit and think about the baby she lost, these are her moping sessions she has every few days. Forever missing our baby boy who didn't have the chance he deserved.

Dolly

Picture
Dolly passed away at the age of eight months. She had gotten an abscess in her mouth, which was then infected and she just did not fight it. She was pts early hours of the morning, and it still breaks our heart each day. She is Max, Ruby and Charlie's half sister by 2 weeks.  The day she didn't come back home breathing at least four rabbits started to stomp. She'll be sorely missed.

Munch

Picture
Munch is eight months old and is Benji's litter mate. Friends had bought her, but after finding out they were allergic to her they decided to give her to us as she was rarely being let out her cage. She seems to be the submissive one always. She was with Dawn, Dolly and Charlie at one point, but ended up being with just Dawn. Sadly, May 1st Munch suddenly took a turn for the worst and passed away. We will miss her dearly and her memory will always live on.
